Clouse Brown is proud to announce that Megan Dixon has earned Board Certification in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS).
Ms. Dixon joins partners Keith Clouse, Alyson Brown, and Robert (Bobby) Lee, who previously earned Board Certification in Labor and Employment Law.
The TBLS certification identifies attorneys who have met higher standards and have objectively demonstrated expertise in their chosen practice areas. Certification provides peace of mind to clients that an attorney has special expertise in their field and is a designation that fewer than 700 attorneys in Texas can claim.
The certification process is rigorous and requires completing at least 60 hours of focused continuing legal education. In addition, lawyers must provide evaluations by vetted judges and peer lawyers and complete comprehensive day-long exam.
Ms. Dixon focuses her practice on a broad range of labor and employment issues. She represents employees and employers before administrative agencies, as well as state and federal courts and arbitration panels. That includes disputes related to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, breach of contract, wage and hour disputes, non-compete matters, and other employment-related tort claims. In addition, she has extensive appellate experience and has earned favorable outcomes at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and other appellate venues.
Ms. Dixon is active in legal and professional organizations and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, the Texas Employment Lawyers Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association – DFW Chapter. She also earned peer recognition in the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for Employment Law from 2016-2022.
